HAVE YOU SEEN GUS?

HAVE YOU SEEN GUS?

A community road safety campaign to help everyone see motorcyclists

Have You Seen GUS? is a fun, meaningful, community-driven motorcycle awareness campaign designed to help drivers and the wider public notice motorcyclists sooner — especially at intersections, merges and in busy traffic.

When more people actively look for motorcycles, we can help reduce motorcycle crashes, incidents and fatalities. Just as importantly, we can reduce the ripple effect on the wider community — the trauma and impact experienced by people who witness a crash, arrive first on scene, or are involved in the aftermath.

This campaign is for everyone: - Drivers and passengers - Families and kids - Local businesses - Riders and riding groups - Anyone who wants safer roads and a stronger community

How it works

1.       GUS riders wear high-visibility “Have You Seen GUS?” gear while riding.

2.       Community members keep an eye out for GUS.

3.       When you spot GUS, you can log a sighting to go into the draw to win prizes.

Safety first

If you want to take a photo, only do it when it is safe and legal. - Never take photos while driving. - If you’re behind the wheel, make a note of the location/time and upload later.

Win prizes by spotting GUS

When you see GUS, you can: - Snap a photo (optional) when safe, and - Upload your sighting to enter prize draws.

Prizes are supplied by local businesses and supporters who want to back motorcycle safety and community wellbeing

Why this matters

A common factor in serious motorcycle crashes is simple: “Sorry mate, I didn’t see you.”

Have You Seen GUS helps train the brain to expect motorcycles — so drivers check mirrors and blind spots properly, look twice at intersections, and make safer decisions around riders.

When we reduce motorcycle incidents, we also reduce the impact on: - families and friends - emergency services - bystanders and witnesses - local communities
